Does anyone watch American Idol? Does anyone remember when they used to play that daniel powter song "bad day" every single time someone got kicked off the show? I remembered I loved that song because it really puts a song to a certain moment in time. So today I had a pretty bad day and one of the first things that came into my head was that song. Well its the end of the day and I just want to be happy again, so I went into my iTunes and was looking for a song that will turn my frown upside down! What song do I turn to? Duh, my beloved blackberry ringtone... "you belong to me" by taylor swift. Yes I love that song, its not really that I love taylor, I just love that song, because it brings me back to a simpler time in life, high school. And although I wasn't always sitting on the bleachers, because actually I was out on the field performing and stuff, but there was a time in my high school life that I felt those feelings in the song. And since entering college, sadly I forgot how those feelings feel.
Anyways, back to the point of this entry. I strongly believe that my iPod or my iTunes truly understands and knows me and my emotions. I swear that when it on shuffle, it just knows that perfect song to play. It's the same with the radio. All my friends know that a couple of summers ago, there was this boy and every single I would go and see him fergie's "big girls don't cry" would come on. So from that song and the lyrics, I knew that something would happen at the end of the summer and it did. Music is always there to cheer you up, put you in the mood, and basically put a soundtrack to your life. There is nothing more I love, well other than God, than music. When I dance, I get to put movement to music and the musicality that is incorporated with the dance moves can create such a beautiful emotion. I don't know anyone who doesn't love music. There is music everywhere we go. if you don't love music that much or want to get into listening to music, try Pandora. you type in a song you like, and it starts playing songs that are similar. it's an amazing invention! especially if you forgot all those great songs we listened to in middle school or high school. so the moral of today's post, if you ever need a pick me up after a bad day, instead of running to the chocolate or vodka soda, try going to a music source first, it will help and put a smile on your face!
by the way, a couple of days ago i decided to get back into the twitter nest. so if you want to see what i'm doing or what i'm feeling come follow me on twitter! Jennifer_Kim22
